After a fallow year in 2024 we are ploughing ahead with our plans for 2025. Run Nidderdale will return in 2025 when we will be offering cash prizes for new course records.

6 mile headline race

Run Nidderdale is a 6 mile trail race for all abilities through the beautiful Nidderdale countryside. The route takes you up through Guisecliff Woods, onto the moor and across to the trig point which has some stunning views. You will then head along the Nidderdale Way past the famous ‘Two Stoops’ before dropping back down into Pateley and back to the Nidderdale Showground

Course Records

The current course records and holders are:

M – 00:38:22 – Ted Mason (Wharfedale Harriers)

F – 00:47:35 – Chloe Hirst (Harrogate Harriers)

Prizes

There will be prizes for winners in the open, V40, V50 and V60 categories.

There is a £50 cash prize for the male and female course record if broken!

Children's races

Fun races for kids with entry strictly on the day (£5 – cash only). Distances range from 1km and 3km across age categories of 5-7, 8-11 and 12-16.

Supported charities

As well as a fantastic race and a family friendly atmosphere, 33% of proceeds will be donated to each of  the club’s nominated charities; Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association. The remaining third will go towards club funds.

Please note part of the trail race route goes through private land. We are grateful for permission to use this land for the race and it must not be accessed prior to or after the race date.

The minimum age for the trail race is 16 (sixteen) and the minimum age is 5 (five) for the kids’ race.

Parents/guardians remain responsible for children at all times and parents are welcome to accompany children on the run.

Unfortunately no dogs are allowed in the race, but well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the showground.
